Columbia Bank Seeking Small Business Recovery Grant Applications
Columbia Bank is seeking nonprofits and/or small businesses who may need additional assistance! The Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY) will offer $5 million in grant funding under the 2024 Small Business Recovery Grant (SBRG) Program. The SBRG Program provides grant funds up to $10,000 to qualifying small business and non-profit organizations that have faced economic challenges due to the rate environment, inflation, supply-chain constraints, and/or rising energy costs. Funds can be used for the startup or expansion of a small business or nonprofit, including building purchase, land acquisition, payroll, working capital and other related uses.
Eligibility Criteria:
Located within the FHLBNY's District: New Jersey
Meets the appropriate definition for size:
Small businesses are defined according to Small Business Association (SBA) guidelines
A non-profit organization must have a current 501(c)(3) designation or equivalent and an annual operating budget of less than $20 million
A verified startup or existing entity currently operating or requires the grant funds to resume operations under a reasonable plan
